Terms of Service

The following terms apply to Storywright's session recording and transcription feature. Our full Terms of Service continue below.

Session recordings

Some features let a Game Master upload an audio recording of a play session so Storywright can produce a text transcript. Recording requires the consent of every participant at the table (see “Recording consent” below). You confirm you have the right to upload any recording you provide and that all speakers have consented.

We do not keep your audio

Uploaded recordings are used only to generate a transcript. We permanently delete our copy as soon as transcription finishes, and we direct our speech-to-text provider to delete its copy immediately after transcription. Storywright does not store, back up, share, or use session-recording audio for any other purpose, and does not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.

Recording consent

A recording may only be transcribed after every participant in the session has recorded their consent. Consent is visible to the whole table, and each participant grants or withdraws it themselves from their own session view — no one can answer for you. Consent may be withdrawn at any time; withdrawing consent stops any further transcription for that session.
